Is there a dream that you're chasing after with all you've got? Perhaps you've 'caught the vision' and you're pursuing exactly what you know you should be doing right now. If so, brilliant.
Orrrr, perhaps not. Maybe you missed that big opportunity, or made the wrong choices at some point recently. If you feel disappointed with where you find yourself, take a look at the story of Joseph in Genesis 50. The fact that his brothers left him for dead didn't exactly set him up with the best start in life. In fact, he had very little choice in where he'd end up spending his life. In the bottom of a well, in jail... Hmm, not great. But he gave his situation to God, and let Him take the lead (which, you'll know, isn't easy). God knew exactly what gifts, talents and dreams Joseph had, and He brought him through.
So what? Well, if you're in a tough place, know that it isn't the end of the road. Seriously. Look up at today's verse again. You're limiting yourself if you believe that you've got to the end of the road already. Know that God is on your side; He's never going to abandon you, or leave you without hope, no matter how dark the situation becomes. Nope. That isn't the Jesus-way. God is working all things 'for the good of those who love him' (Romans 8:28 NIV). Those places in your life that feel dead? He wants them to come through to life and resurrection.
