We also need to try and keep our problems in perspective. The world may try and 'rank' and compare problems, thinking that some are far more significant than others. But no problem is too big or small for God. He cares about each and every one of them. The thing we need to remember is: God is bigger than any problem we will ever face. Sometimes our problems feel overwhelming, and far too big for us to tackle. We might feel like we are drowning and nothing can save us. But we have to put our problems into perspective - we have to see how small our problem is in comparison to our big and powerful God. How do we know He's bigger? The Bible tells us many times about the greatness, power, and majesty of God. One of the main stories about this is when Jesus calmed the storm. The disciples had a big problem - a storm had started while they were out sailing, the water was coming into the boat, and Jesus was sleeping. In a panic they woke Him up, and wondered if He cared that they could drown. But Jesus had complete control over the wind and waves. He asked them, 'Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?' Do we believe that God has the power to calm the storms in our lives? Do we believe that God is bigger than anything we are facing? If we think God is too small for us, we will start trying to sort things ourselves and become overwhelmed. We need to make sure that we remember just how big God is. No problem is too hard for Him. With Him, all things are possible (take a look at Matthew 19:26).
